FAQ

What are Stark’s key product ranges and where can these be used?

We sell prefinished, design-centric fire rated flat sheets and engineered panel and lining systems for turnkey applications in commercial and high-end residential projects.

Interior grade lining boards can be used as/on:

  • Column covers
  • Wall linings
  • Ceiling linings
  • Baffles
  • Splashbacks
  • Signage
  • Furniture
  • Installations
  • Doors

Exterior non-combustible series can be used in most external applications including:

  • Rain screens
  • Facades
  • Canopies
  • External column covers
  • Soffits

What size panels do you offer?

Standard flat sheets are 1.2m x 3.0m. Custom sized sheets available subject to transport limitations. Lead time applies.

What gauge/thickness does the panel come in?

Interior grade sheets are 2.2mm. Shadowfold system has an installed thickness of approximately 24mm.

Exterior sheets are 3mm solid aluminium. System thickness depends on design.

Can I order samples?

Yes. We provide samples to design and construction trade only. Please use the link below.

What is the fire rating of Stark commercial panel?

Interior shadowfold panels are all Group 1 fire rated, which makes them suitable for all interior cladding purposes including fire rated compartments or exits.

Stark non-combustible series are made for exterior cladding applications and are made from 3mm solid aluminium sheets. They are tested to AS1530.1 as “non-combustible”. Reports available upon request.

Do your panels come in flat sheets (without fabrication)?

Panels come in 1200×3000 flat sheets with two folding groves routed on two ends, which can be used or not. To achieve our signature shadowline folded cassette appearance the sheets can be folded onsite along the provided grooves and friction fixed into the associated aluminium extrusion profiles. Alternatively, the flat sheets can be directly applied onto flat walls and fixed using adhesive and joining profiles.

Is the material durable?

Stark panels have numerous features (see the STARK difference here) including durability, which makes it ideal for commercial use. In the unlikely event of damage each panel can be removed on its own and be replaced.

Does Stark sell directly to public?

STARK is the manufacturer and commercial supplier. We supply to trade only.

What’s the standard lead time?

Stock sheet materials can be dispatched within 48 hours. For non-stock items lead time is generally 8-10 weeks from the point of formal order. We always encourage advise inquiring for specific lead times and lock-in order availability.

Do you do take-off, fabrication to size, and installation?

We welcome complex architectural projects and simple flat sheet orders.

Stark works on both exterior cladding to internal lining and art installations. Often architects and designers will contact Stark at the early design phase for help with various iterations of a design, for assistance with engineering, and to work out the best installation methods in different scenarios.

Take-off and fabrication can be either done through Stark for a charge or we can recommend panel processing companies and installers.
